Travel has always been a big part of my life. In my family, birthdays never meant big gifts. They meant "where are we going next?" We've always valued memories and experiences over things, and that gave me an early appreciation for how big and different the world is.
Travel is what makes me feel most alive. I’ve had my share of uncomfortable, exhausting moments on the road, but I wouldn’t trade any of them. They’re the stories I laugh about now. Mostly. I’m still not sure how funny the jellyfish stings while swimming to our catamaran were, or hiking in 100° heat, or overeating ice cream. (Kidding. That last one isn’t possible.)
Travel changes how you see life and other people. It makes you grateful. It makes you feel small in the best way, with a quiet excitement about how huge the world is and how much of it is still waiting for you.
That’s why I want to share this feeling, especially with people my age. Today I plan trips alongside my mom and co-founder, Julia, the person who taught me that the best gifts are places, not things. Now we get to ask that question for you. So, where are we going next?
